The Rev. Brenda Booth, Executive Director of Isaiah 58 Ministries, will be leading us in worship on Sunday, January 16, 2022. We are worshiping virtually through February 6, at which time the Session will evaluate the status of the pandemic in our community. We hope to return to in-person /hybrid worship soon.

We will be receiving the Christmas Joy Offering on December 19, as well. Envelopes are in the back of the sanctuary. “The Christmas Joy Offering opens doors of opportunity which lead to hopeful futures for young people at Presbyterian -related schools and colleges equipping communities of color and providing assistance to current and retired church workers in their time of need.
Join us Sunday, December 12, 2021 for our Christmas Cantata presented by members of our choir and congregation. So many folks with the gift of music, directed by our Minister of Music, Ms. Susan Brown.
Plan on joining us for Neighborhood Christmas Caroling for the St. Louis Christmas Carol Association from 2:00 – 3:30 PM on Sunday, as well. Hats and costumes encouraged and experience and actual singing ability is not required. Special thanks to Josh Smith and the Membership and Evangelism Committee for organizing this event!

December 1 – Worship Service to welcome new members coming from Tyler Place Presbyterian Church. Pastor Robert Hagel will give the sermon as we welcome Tyler Place’s assimilation into Oak Hill. A reception will be held in the Large Assembly Room following worship.
December 8 – Christmas Cantata. The Chancel Choir presents “The Other Wise Man” under the direction of Susan Brown, our Minister of Music.
December 15 – Children’s Program. The children and youth of Oak Hill present the musical “Star of Wonder”, Darrell Yearwood and Susan Brown directing.
December 24 – Christmas Eve Service will beTuesday, December 24, at 6:00 p.m. with a reception immediately following the service in our Large Assembly Room. Bring an appetizer or dessert to share if you are able. Everyone is welcome to our time of fellowship.
On Good Friday, March 29, Oak Hill will join other local congregations for a Community Stations of the Cross Walk. We will gather at 12 noon at Compton Heights/Tyler Place at 2149 S. Grand. Blvd. @ Flora Place. We will walk a path that leads us back to our starting point. The walk will last approximately two hours and will be a healthy public exercise of faith as together we walk through our neighborhood tracing the final steps of Christ.

Oak Hill will host an ecumenical worship service, March 28, at 7:00 PM. We will follow the ancient tradition of Tenebrae (Shadows), which includes a gradual extinguishing of lights as we move into our observance of Good Friday, the Easter Vigil and finally, on to Resurrection Sunday.
