Oak Hill in the Community
The Oak Hill Presbyterian congregation participates in our community with:
Board of Religious Organizations – Religious groups throughout the greater St. Louis area cooperatively provide toys and layettes to needy families (The BRO is temporarily housed at our church while their permanent location is being renovated.)
C-4 (Churches Committed to Community Concerns) – Various congregations of South St. Louis work cooperatively in the public arena to address community needs and concerns as a part of MCU (Metropolitan Congregations United for St. Louis).
Grand-Oak Hill Neighborhood Association
South Side Presbyterian Churches – United-Nine Presbyterian churches in South St. Louis meet in fellowship and work together to address issues facing those congregations.
Tower Grove South Coalition – Representatives from agencies, schools and churches in our neighborhood work together to jointly address needs and concerns of our community.
Vacation Bible School and Halloween Candy Distribution are ways we get better acquainted with the children in our neighborhood. Our annual free Vacation Bible School is held every summer. Goodies are distributed to children who stop at the church steps on Halloween.
Oak Hill's Deacons serve the community with a monthly collection of non-perishable food items for the Food Pantry at Isaiah 58 Ministries in South St. Louis, as well as other collection drives for numerous area charities
